ASHLAND CHRISTIAN CHURCH believes strongly in supporting
the spread of the gospel and the love of Christ Jesus through missions. We support the following missions through
prayer and financial support:
Missouri Operation for Vigorous Evangelism
M.O.V.E. is a new church planting organization based in Jefferson City, MO. It has been involved in over 30 church
plants across the state of Missouri. Current projects include Bolivar Christian Church
in Bolivar, Mars Hill in Independence and Cornerstone
Christian Church in Bowling Green.
Central
Missouri Christian
Evangelizers
C.M.C.E. is a new church planting men’s fellowship group.
Christian churches from 7 central Missouri counties work together
in starting new congregations and partner with other evangelistic groups in
church planting efforts. ACC is one of
their previous church plants. Their
current project is a partnership effort on Cornerstone Christian Church in Bowling Green.
Central Christian College of the Bible
C.C.C.B. is the fastest growing college in the U.S. It excels in preparing people for ministry,
from Christian educators to pulpit preachers.
Located in Moberly, MO, this Bible college
offers a tuition paid program to all its students to allow them to enter
kingdom service debt-free. This is
made possible by outside support from churches, individuals and other
organizations.
Show-Me Youth Home
This nonprofit organization has homes in 5 Missouri towns. They provide a loving, stable, Christian
home for children with backgrounds of abuse, neglect, abandonment and other
unfortunate circumstances. Their
financial needs are met solely through the contributions of individuals,
churches and other groups willing to invest in the lives of these kids. Youth homes are located in LaMonte,
Camdenton, El Dorado Springs, Mayview and Sheridan, Missouri.
Camp Mocomi
Located in Cole county, Mocomi is a Christian camp that
youth from all over central Missouri can attend. Countless decisions for Christ have been
made due to its efforts for the kingdom.
Staff for the camp consists of area ministers, youth leaders and
caring parents. Support from area
churches makes it all possible.
Voluntary Action Center
V.A.C. is based in Columbia, Missouri and serves the
surrounding area by providing information and referral to the social services
community and providing emergency assistance to families when local programs
are unable to meet critical needs.
They connect the needy with available services and assistance
programs.
Central Missouri Food
Bank
The food bank provides free food to 142 food pantries,
soup kitchens, shelters for the homeless and abused, low-income children’s
programs, senior programs and rehabilitation centers in 33 central and northeastern
Missouri counties. The whole network feeds approximately
67,000 people each month.
Foreign mission trips
Individual and group trips are also supported. Those efforts included trips to Panama and Russia in 2005 and trips to Poland and China in 2004.
International Disaster
Emergency Services
I.D.E.S. is based in Kempton, Indiana and has been a source
of aid to those in need for over 30 years.
In 2005 they reached out to help the victims of the tsunami with relief
kits and temporary shelters and continue with efforts to rebuild homes. After the hurricanes hit our own country,
I.D.E.S. was there with relief as well.
All this was done without neglect to its ongoing efforts around the
globe.
RESTORATION MOVEMENT
SLOGANS
The
Restoration Movement in this country sought to bring unity to the Christian
church. They had a number of slogans
toward that end. Ashland Christian
Church has that same desire for unity in the body of believers.
Ø
WHERE
THE SCRIPTURES SPEAK, WE SPEAK;
Ø
AND
WHERE THE SCRIPTURES ARE SILENT, WE ARE SILENT.
Ø
IN
ESSENTIALS UNITY, IN OPINIONS LIBERTY, AND IN ALL THINGS LOVE.
Ø
NO
HEAD-QUARTERS BUT HEAVEN, NO CREED BUT CHRIST, NO BOOK BUT THE BIBLE, NO PLEA
BUT THE GOSPEL, AND NO NAME BUT THE DIVINE.
Ø CHRISTIANS ONLY, BUT NOT THE ONLY
CHRISTIANS.
